Apple announced yesterday what they branded as the “best iPhone ever” with powerful features such as A14 Bionic, Ceramic Shield design, pro camera, LiDar Scanner, and the largest 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR screen. These will be the first generation of iPhones running on 5G networks.
The newest high-end iPhone Pro models will go on sale on October 23 (preorder at October 16) for iPhone 12 Pro with a starting price of $999, and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available in stores on November 13 (preorder at November 6) with a starting price of $1099.
Apple stocks dropped 3.2% yesterday, erasing completely its gain the previous day. Despite this, some analysts remain bullish. Dan Ives of Wedbush stated that Apple and suppliers in Asia expect higher demand for the iPhone 12 Max Pro model with roughly 350 million iPhones eligible for a 2020 upgrade. RBC Capital analyst Robert Muller also said that the new models will start a multiyear replacement cycle. AAPL.US is up by 66% YTD.
